Pradosham Pooja

06 May

Pradosham is a Hindu observance that occurs twice a month during the waxing and waning phases of the moon, specifically during the 13th phase of the moon. The word “Pradosham” is derived from “pradosh”, which means “the end of the day” or “dusk”. Pradosham is considered to be a highly auspicious time for worship and spiritual practices, particularly for the worship of Lord Shiva.

During Pradosham, special pujas and rituals are performed in honor of Lord Shiva, who is considered to be the lord of time and the destroyer of evil. Devotees typically observe a fast on this day, and offer prayers and offerings to Lord Shiva, seeking his blessings for success, prosperity, and happiness.

Pradosham is particularly significant because it is believed to be a time when the cosmic energy is most conducive for spiritual practices and the removal of negative energies. It is believed that observing Pradosham with devotion and sincerity can bring blessings and benefits in all aspects of one’s life, including health, wealth, relationships, and spiritual growth.
